The History Beneath Out Feet
Our Guest Speaker programme has been packed during the winter with a variety of local historians sharing their knowledge giving all who attend a fascinating insight into their local area. Our last speaker of the Winter programme, Stephen Flinders told a gripping account of one of the most significant archeological discoveries in Ilkeston. With the help of the Erewash Museum the site was excavated and finds examined and dated by Oxford University and many of the finds are on display in the Erewash Museum in Ilkeston.
