Tuesday, September 22nd 2009- "Local Railways (inc Awsworth!) with Archive Films" By Dave Richards - This promises to be a real cracker for those interested in our local railway heritage.
Tuesday October 27th 2009- "Nottinghamshire Archaeology " by Dave Walker Find out more about archealogical work in the region . - A must see if you enjoy seeing the past unearthed before your eyes!
Tuesday November 24th 2009- "DH Lawrence" - By Ronald Morris. The home life, family, education, and loves of the controversial writer D. H. Lawrence. - What was he like? Find out more about our local literary icon.
December - No speaker in December - Committee meeting to be arranged.
Tuesday January 26th 2010 - "The Sandstone Caves of Nottingham" by Tony Waltham - Find out more about Nottinghams extenisve cave network.
Tuesday February 23rd 2010 - "Narrow Gauge Railways of Britain " by Peter Keating. The great little trains of Britain.
Tuesday March 23rd - "Looking Back at Games and Pastimes " by Maureen Newton. A look back at toys of yesteryear.Tuesday April 27th - AGM and Photo Night - Dig out those old photos of Awsworth, Babbington or Cossall and bring them in to share. There is NO gust speaker this session.
Tuesday May 25th - "A Tudor Village " by Stephen Flinders. A look back at villages in tudor times.
Tuesday June 22nd - Awsworth Village Walk and Talk . By Bryan Maloney. A walk around the village of Awsworth with the history explained as you go. Don't miss this! ***PLEASE NOTE, THIS WALK STARTS FROM AWSWORTH VILLAGE HALL AT 7PM****
Saturday July 3rd - Awsworth Party On the Rec - We have a stall on the Party on the Rec (that's the recreation ground behind Awsworth Village Hall), do come and see us.
